Huon Valley Tree Care is a highly respected arboricultural service provider. We specialise in all aspects of tree work from large, dangerous tree removals to fine pruning on heritage listed trees. A small business that cares for trees and the carers of them. We prioritise your convenience and perform each job with minimal disruption to your schedule and routine. We also offer impartial advice on what services your tree requires and perform all works safely, efficiently and to Australian standards.

Owner operator Marcos Bakx has a diploma in Arboriculture (AQF level 5) and is the 2021 Tasmanian tree climbing champion. Originally from England, he started his career working on trees in botanical gardens and prestigious estates. He has also gained a wealth of experience working with some of the best crews in New Zealand and Australia before meeting his now wife in Victoria and moving to the Huon Valley. He is always happy to discuss your trees and the best ways to manage them.

At Huon Valley Tree Care we try our best to respect the environment we work in. Southern Tasmania is such a beautiful and wild place and we want to keep it that way therefore we will always try to retain and manage trees wherever possible. Using electric chainsaws when we can, modern equipment and biodegradable bar oil we try to minimise our carbon footprint. Our arborists are also experts in habitat creation and can carve hollows for native animals into your trees.
